Lori Greiner

 Lori Greiner was a Chicago native born on December 9th, 1969 in Gold Coast. Greiner is the second daughter of an estate developer father and a psychological mother. Her parents separated at the age of 9 years old.Greiner majored in focusing on journalism communications, television, and film at Loyola University Chicago. She also worked as a designer and playwright, where she also sold her own jewellery on the side.Greiner started her career by developing a plastic earring organizer with sliding rods that could store up to 100 pairs of earrings. She created a prototype of the product which was picked up by J.C. Penney before the Christmas season.She stated that "she didn't intend to become a serial inventor" however her success on the Home Shopping Network started her on that path. She was a part of QVC in 2000 and created several items. In 2012, Greiner was the Shark Tank host. Her investment in the company Scrub Daddy (a business that makes a sponge with a different texture) was a big success two years after. In 2014 she had sold more than 2 million of her products on QVC.
